Nyhedsbrev Uge 19 – Nyt website vejrer stemningen under årets Eurovision Song Contest

Nyt website refrain.dk gør det muligt at udforske Eurovision Song Contest sang-universet. Med SONG MATCH kan man sammenligne årets sange med resten af de 1202 sange siden Eurovisions begyndelse i 1956 samt med mere end 10.000 andre populære sange. 
 
MOOD OF EUROPE viser den aktuelle stemning i Europa, og man kan læse, hvad indbyggerne mener om sangene, mens de synges. Her får man en fornemmelse af, om stemningen er overvejende positiv eller negativ over for hver enkelt sang. Holdningerne baseres på tweets fra Twitter, hvor mange af de i alt 170 mio. seere i forvejen deler deres holdninger. Brug #refraindk #Eurovision #JoinUs.
 
Refrain er udviklet i det strategiske forskningsprojekt CoSound (@cosounddk) af partnerne DTU Compute (@CogSys) og Geckon ApS. Innovationsnetværket Dansk Lyd (@danishsoundtech) har bistået som innovationspartner.

Kom til foredrag om hvordan lyd og musik påvirker hjernen

Peter Vuust og Line Gebauer fra Center of Functionally Integrative Neuroscience på Aarhus Universitet og forfatterne til hvidbogen "Music Interventions in Health Care", giver et foredrag i Struer om mulighederne for at inddrage lyd og musik i arbejdet med mennesker med funktionsnedsættelse.
 
Foredraget er en del af initiativerne i "Struer Lydens By", der som et af sine indsatsområder har fokus på udviklingen af nye metoder og strategier inden for velfærdsløsninger.

Kortlægning af kinesiske lydaktører

Innovationsnetværket Dansk Lyd har i samarbejde med Innovation Center Denmark, Shanghai og China Audio Industry Association lavet en kortlægning over de centrale kinesiske firmaer og forskningsinstitutioner inden for lydområdet.
 
Kortlægningen er tænkt som et praktisk værktøj for danske virksomheder og organisationer, der arbejder med lyd og lydteknologi og som påtænker samarbejder eller andet engagement i Kina.

Sæt kryds i kalenderen 19/6 - aktiviteter og resultater hos Akustisk Teknologi på DTU

Ansporet af den store interesse ved 50-års jubilæet sidste år inviterer gruppen for Akustisk Teknologi på DTU Elektro til en eftermiddag med præsentationer af aktiviteter og nye resultater.
 
Arrangementet vil foregå torsdag den 19. juni kl. 13.30-16.30 i bygning 352 på DTU. Det endelige program vil blive offentliggjort senere, men reserver allerede nu eftermiddagen.

New website refrain.dk explores the realm of the Eurovision Song Contest. Use SONG MATCH to discover and share an interesting match between a Eurovision Song Contest song with the realm of historical Eurovision Song Contest songs, or the collection of more than 10,000 western pop songs. 
With MOOD OF EUROPE you can view and share the current mood of Europe based on Twitter tweets related to the European Song Contest using #refraindk #Eurovision #JoinUs

Attend talk on how sound and music impacts the brain

Peter Vuust og Line Gebauer from the Center of Functionally Integrative Neuroscience at Aarhus University and authors of the white paper "Music Interventions in Health Care", are visiting Struer and giving a talk about the possibilities of incorporating sound and music when working with people with disabilities.
 
The talk is part of the initiatives connected to "Struer City of Sound" and the focus on developing new methods and strategies in welfare solutions. 
 
 
Time: May 20, 14-16.30
Place: Struer Musikskole, Bredgade 6, 7600 Struer

Mapping of Chinese companies and universities within the sound sectors

Danish Sound Innovation Network, Innovation Center Denmark in Shanghai and China Audio Industry Association have collaborated on a mapping of the primary Chinese players within sound technology.
 
This mapping is meant to serve as a practical tool for companies in the Danish audio and sound technology sectors, seeking their way to initiate collaboration and engage themselves in China.
