Bang & Olufsen’s area of business focus on R&D and production of high-end AV consumer goods. The company focuses on research and development within multi-modal perception and digital sound technology in general.
Søren Bech leads a group working on descriptive analysis, allowing for a complete sensory description of a product, as well as the individual factors’ influence on the overall preference and/or quality.
Alongside a number of national and international collaborators, he has developed methods to quantify sound quality. Many of these methods were published in Bech & Zacharov “Perceptual Audio Evaluation – Theory, Method and Application” at Wiley.
Professor, Aalborg University
MSc. In Engineering, Aalborg University (1988) and Ph.D. in Signal Processing, Technical University of Denmark (1995).
He is now a professor of Signal Processing and Speech & Audio Processing at the Department of Electronic Systems at Aalborg University.
Before his tenure at Aalborg University, he has worked at the Telecommunications Laboratory, Statens Teletjeneste, as well as DTU Electrical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark, and the Department of Electrical Engineering, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). He has also held several short-term research programs at Technische Universiteit Delft (Belgium) and Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in Sophia Antipolis (France).
Søren Holdt Jensen’s research areas are Statistical Signal Processing, Speech and Audio Processing, Multimedia Technology, and Digital Communication.
Kim Rishøj was a co-founder of T.C. Electronics (TCE) in 1976, which today belongs to the Music Group.
TCE has specialised in development and production of high-end digital sound processors for the consumer and B2B markets.
Innovation is a core value for TCE and Kim Rishøj has participated in a number of research and innovation initiatives with universities and other organisations as co-participants.

In addition to his responsibilities in DELTA, Birger Schneider has participated in numerous Microelectronics R&D projects, among others under EU R&D programs such as ESPIRIT. Through the years, Birger has also held positions in national and international networks for engineers, including Vice Chairman of Electrotechnical Science, Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, Chairman of European Wide Computer Aided Design for VLSI Workshop (CAVE), and Chairman of the IEEE Computer Society European Test Technological Committee, etc.

Nicolai has a MSc.EE from the Technical University of Denmark and has been at GN Resound since 1978.
From 1991 to 1998 he was Vice President of R&D, as well as Vice President of Product Marketing and Audiology for a year, before being promoted to Senior Vice President of Business Development and Industry Relations. From 2006 he has been the Vice President of IPR.
Professor of Applied Mathematics, University of Lund
Søren has a Ph.D. in Digital Signal Processing (1999) and has been employed as postdoc at the Department of Speech, Music and Hearing at KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden). In 2002 he became an Associate Professor at Aalborg University, after working a few years at Global IP Sound in Stockholm.
In 2004 he was a co-founder of Danish company Sonorit, bought by VOIP giant Skype. From 2006 to 2012, Søren was employed at Skype – first as Research Architect and later as the Head of Skype Labs, an international research department at Skype.
Since 2013, Søren has been a Professor of Applied Mathematics at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences at Lund University (Sweden), but also manages a position as Researcher in QuanoX, a small Recommender Systems start-up.
Musician, Composer, Facilitator – Adaptimus ApS
Guitarist and bassist, since 1997 in Danish rock band Big Fat Snake. Partner in Adaptimus ApS, where he composes adaptive music for use in (among others) autism and dementia treatments.
His education includes Mediator, Certified Six Thinking Hats Instructor, as well as Arts-in-Business Innovator (DK). He has studied at the Rythmic Music Conservatory (DK) and the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles (US).

Claus Blaabjerg has a M. Sc.EE degree from the Technical University of Denmark, specialized in acoustics and digital signal processing.
For more than 20 years Claus Blaabjerg has been working at Brüel & Kjær mainly in roles relating to research and development including product development, project management, patent management.
Since 2008 Claus has been a member of the R&D Management Team and the manager of the Innovation Team at Brüel & Kjær, responsible of research activities dealing with new ways of solving challenges related to measurement and analysis of sound and vibration, among these EU and national funded projects as well as university student projects.
